
Champenoise’s sire, Calme’, is the top Holsteiner Stallion in the U. S. according to USDF statistics. He is ranked 7th among all Stallions for producing winners in dressage. Calme’ has had several offspring on international USET teams in both dressage and driving. His pedigree combines the bloodlines of Cor de La Bryere, Furioso XX and Marlon.
Champenoise’s dam, Allegra, is by Abdullah. Abdullah won the team gold and individual silver medals at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. His son Airborne Monticello was recently 2nd to Hugo Simon and E.T. in the Grand Prix of Donaueschingen and was on the French team that was 2nd at the World Show Jumping Championships in Rome.
Champenoise is a
tall, elegant and beautifully balanced young gelding. He is a spectacular mover
with a lot of presence. Champenoise has a wonderful mind and temperament. He was
easy to start under saddle and is great to handle. This young gelding has been
under saddle for 2 months (Sept.) and shows talent for both dressage and
jumping. In freejumping he shows a lovely technique and a lot of
scope.
