Rival is a 1995 black, 16.0 hand Holsteiner gelding with four flashy stockings and a striking blaze.  He is a very promising young horse with light gaits and a super disposition.  He was very easy to start under saddle and he really tries hard to please.  He has been clipped, he trailers well and has good manners overall.  He will be a wonderful horse for any discipline.

Rival's sire, Rantares, is a successful FEI competitor and is ranked by USDF as one of the top dressage sires in the U.S.  Rantares is also the sire of the successful grand prix jumper Atlas.

Rival's dam, Elite, is sired by Calme' whose pedigree includes such notable sires as Cor de la Bryere and Furioso.
